Myturf is a product of Birmingham City University’s Production Event 2008. The theme for the 2008 event was Volunteering and so the Web and New Media group, consisting of Adam Stewart and Stephen Pink, set about creating a network under the name Myturf. Myturf is where volunteers can chat, connect, bond and group with fellow volunteers in the Birmingham/West Midlands area. It allows a forum for Volunteers to post videos, images, comments, events by utilising current platforms on the internet and bringing them under the Myturf name to create a network of sites and places for Myturf uses to express themselves.
